My Disclaimer

On this blog I have links to different websites. Some are good for getting information, and some for ordering food and supplies. I have ordered through most of them, but not all.
This is my disclaimer:
I am not offiliated with any of these sites in any way. I am not trying to promote or advertise for them in any way. Use them at YOUR own risk, and I am not responsible for any correspondance or purchases between you and these companies. Also, I am not trying to promote any religion or political affiliation. Sometimes I will use information or quotes from either, but just because they have such great information or insight. I hope this site will help you get prepared!! Have a great day!

WELCOME!!

Welcome!! I just started this blog, so I could get information out to those who want it. (it's much easier than emailing everyone everything...maybe). I do consider myself a "dooms day-ist," but I think it is also necessary that we all get prepared. The "end" may not be here, but these are tough and trying times financially for almost everyone. If we had all been doing what we've been counseled to do for decades, we would all be better off. With all the jobs that are being lost, wouldn't it be comforting to know that you had a food supply that would last you 3 months to a year, and a small amount of money in savings that would also last a few months??? It sure would make tough times a bit easier. Now I'm not an expert, and I'm surely not perfect, but I know that there are other people like me out there who want to know what we need to do, but just don't know where to start. I'm going to post a few things that I hope will be useful, and I would love feedback, and your info as well. The more information the better, right? Should things get really bad, wouldn't it be nice to know that everyone is prepared? There will come a time (I don't know when) that it will get that bad. At that time, I would expect that our Bishops will send out the call for us to bring together what we have prepared and stored, and it will then be re-distributed. I know for me, it won't be easy, but it will be a lot easier knowing that I won't be the only one bringing in my food storage. And could you really deny food to your neighbor, your family, a child?? If will all do what we are asked in preparing, how much easier will that be??

One of my favorite quotes, because it is so true!!
"Many more people could ride out the storm-tossed waves in their economic lives if they had their year's supply of food and clothing and were debt-free. Today we find that many have followed this counsel in reverse: they have at least a year's supply of debt and are food-free." --Thomas S. Monson

I know it's not easy to start, but please, just start. You will find that once you do start, thoughts and ideas will start flowing into your mind so quickly, that you'd better have a pen and paper on hand at all times to write them down. I don't know why I started this blog, maybe just for my own sanity, but I DO KNOW that I was told to do so. I have a very real testimony of my church and of this counsel to be prepared. SO, let's get 'er done!!

Thanks for reading!!
Robyn
